I would have been living in Shanghai for a whole year till tomorrow (Milestone Date March 1st, 2008). I just decided to go to Changning district to have Lanzhou ramen noodles to celebrate it.
I still remember the first day when I arrived in this city. That night, when I came out of the railway station after nearly 25 hours’ train journey, a light rain was falling. I was standing there, at a dazzle crossing lighted by the taxi lamps, amazing, curious and helpless. This is Shanghai, the place I have heard before but not as of the same passion as I want to be in Beijing, a place I know nobody and I know little about it.
I don’t know what was waiting before me। Future seems too dim as the taxi was travelling on the highway. Now it’s nearly middle night, the time when I should be in home with my family. But I grasped my courage. Here all things will start at the beginning, from zero, with my hands and fortune. There one word I believe in bible that gave me strength: I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. (Genesis 28:15) (我也与你同在。你无论往哪里去，我必保佑你，领你归回这地，总不离弃你，直到我成全了向你所应许的。（创 28:15)）
Everyday in Shanghai can be of lots of stories, sad ones, happy ones, interesting ones, strange ones. Some for remember and some for lost. During this year in Shanghai, I have worked in two companies, I have lived in three places, I have more than four best friends. I have money more than 300 yuan when I was just arriving in this city. And the most valuable thing is the one year experience and everyday’s life, my friends and my sickness of the home.
It’s the start of another zero, the way to 2009, the coming new circle, I have already made plans, music, career, love, religion and life, I will gain more….
Also, send my thanksgiving to my mom, my sisters, my lovers, my relatives, my friends, my workmates and other person who had helped me and given me so much.
